Dan passes away, suddenly and much too young. Phil lives through the fallout.
No priest speaks before or after they lower him into the ground. Dan would've hated such a thing and organising it wasn't on anyone's mind. Instead, they've elected to have the same man who organised the speeching at the memorial services say a few words.
He speaks for a minute or two. It's uninspired and plain, but Phil barely hears it anyway. He's looking at the grave. It looks deeper than 6 feet, he thinks. He wants to share in this curiosity with someone and habitually glances to his right.
No-one there.

Summary
Phil is naked. He’s sitting in the bathtub with his knees up, curled like a gargoyle on a cathedral ledge, swabbing at himself with tiny scraps of fabric. He's shimmering from scalp to nipple. Dan can’t drag his gaze away.
For one of the 2026 Phantasy Calender photoshoot looks, Phil covers himself head to toe in glitter body paint. Without any oil-based cleanser to get it off with, the next best thing to use is olive oil. Phil gets in the bath and tries to deal with the glitter situation. Dan joins in and helps.
