The interns' gray sweater that sits over his collared shirt is wrinkled, he must have worried about this day for months on end since getting a letter of approval or maybe the subway was so busy that there was no way he could've gotten here without getting his clothes wrinkled.
"Are you Byun Euijoo?" His soft is gentle and sweet as he asks, his wide round eyes remind Euijoo of a puppy.
Euijoo nods promptly, "Yes and you're our intern that'll be joining us today, yes?"
"What's your name?"
The intern gulps, pulling at a loose thread, "Um Riki. Riki Maus." He nods as he says his own name before he nervously adds on rather quickly, "Most people just call me Maki, though."Or: The new intern at Euijoo's work confesses to Euijoo often, causing a dilemma in his work and self.

Hanbin has a dilemma. Well, not really a dilemma— what Hanbin has is a problem. A big, big problem. A problem that she doesn't even want to think about for longer than a minute out of fear that she'll begin having a raging headache that only digs nails into her temples. She's in love with her one of her student's mother.

the first time taerae meets ricky, taerae is off put by him. taerae is no stranger to weird people in the diner but ricky isn't like that. it's just something about him that taerae can't quite put his finger on.
taerae takes no time to greet him and ricky takes even less time to order. he doesn't even glance at the menu, he gazes into taerae's eyes with his own deep eyes and simply says, "just a coke will be fine."
or:
ricky is one of taerae's regular customers at the diner he works at and ricky oddly only orders a coke. taerae is intrigued by this, to say the least.

Summary
It begins on a long country road.
The engine of the car hums beneath the low volume of the radio, another country song playing between the fuzzy static that interrupts the song every few seconds. the road is bumpy– too far out from the city for the roads to be carefully paved and pristine. They’re about six hundred and something miles out from the city. deserted roads and signs that feel like they mock the two for how far they run. It’ll never be far enough to feel safe.
Euijoo finds Nicholas in place of his religion.

he’s a disgusting creature of god; he shouldn’t exist in this way, stealing his life from nicholas, eating him whole like an animal. he has no humanity in his heart, mind, or even his soul. nicholas should be screaming at him, yelling with his entire body to stop what he's doing so loud that their neighbors miles away could hear him. or maybe nicholas should be fighting for his life, pushing and begging to stay despite the pain of living. but he can’t. he won't.
