Summary
It was so irritating: to be conceptualized and forced immediately to encapsulate in single words like guilty or monstrous, and then to find that the only way to slip free of that delineation was to rearrange her face until she was firmly within victim, or maybe possession. It felt the best in the days after she took the desire to be alone into her own hands, pacing the bloodied, glassy floor and mulling over how unhindered her muscles felt without the labels of others weighing on them. There weren’t even words to decide what to call her, without anyone there to pass judgement. Maybe she was both someone wronged and fucked over and simultaneously someone who’d done an awful thing in response. Mostly, sitting cross-legged and scratching black blood out from under her fingernails, she just felt like herself. Not quite the file-name she’d been given nor the utilitarian descriptor that would be laid upon her until it stuck. A formless, sprawling feeling of what she was.

“That's what ‘Celeste’ means,” he says quietly, however one can be called quiet in a windless open sky.
“What?” she asks.
“Moon. Kind of. Space. It means ‘heaven,’ mostly,” he sighs. His voice does not tip with emotion, though his breath often does. He's good at that. It's what got him away with dissent, until it didn't.
“I didn't know that,” Mist says, turning her head from the sky to look at him. “She had control of the sky. It kind of makes sense.”
He nods distantly. He refused to talk about her at all at first. Now he does so stiffly. Mist returns his favor of listening and he appreciates that, because he knows Celeste only makes her feel grief and guilt and think of the stars on Lenny’s jacket and the number that never made it to the counter because it wasn't a Battle.

Summary
SG turns his head mostly back towards the star still in his hands. Digi sees the flickering, blue reflection of his uncertainty-pinched face in the scuffed surface of the star. Maybe he's actually apprehensive. Maybe he's just trying to keep up the expectation of insolence to keep Digi's ego from becoming a bigger problem than it is and can't actually see the issue with the information. Digi watches his mind work behind the tightened brow. He's waiting for once, albeit inadvertently, too caught up in trying to decide if SG’s mouth is in a pout or not to get pushy at the indecision.
He wants to add some assurance like 'it'll be quick,’ but he doesn't know for sure that it will. It could be painless, uncomfortable, even excruciating. He wants to say the truth, but he doesn't want to admit to SG that he doesn't know if this is going to hurt. He doesn't want to scare him away. He doesn't want SG to know him as unreliable now.
Ugh. That's an uncomfortable thought. He opens his mouth to make it stop.

"OBVIOUSLY," he says. "BE WEIRD IF HE DIDN'T."
"Be bad for your ego," she counters, watching the void strobe. "You haven't changed a bit since last time I saw you."

“And what’s so wrong with that?” Seawatt shot back, slipping onto his own stool. “It’s your big victory feast. You ought to be celebrating with fountains of champagne.”
“By that logic, since this is the anniversary of your crushing defeat, you should be drowning your sorrows in cheap booze.”
“There we find ourselves a shared goal: getting drunk. Who knew we had so much in common?”
A feast is held on the anniversary of the Parkour Villain’s defeat. Evbo has never really drunk before, and Seawatt helps him change that. Shenanigans ensue.
