He put the wrist down, painfully knelt, and reached thoughtlessly to the strangers collar— there was a warning inhuman growl that he ignored, as he put fingers against the carotid artery of the neck. The live, growling neck, under a fall of white hair, and above the black leather collar of a very expensive leather jacket.
There was no pulse.
This close, House could see the liquid on the mans face was blood, welling from his eyes and dripping down his face, to land on the silk shirt of the body in his lap. He looked anguished, and House realized he was kneeling on his office floor, leg throbbing and cane dropped next to him, in front of what was most likely a fucking vampire.

Sanji tilts his head back so that it rests against the dirty wall behind him. He’s still upright, somehow, through sheer stubbornness or spite. He doesn’t look like someone who only has tonight left to live.
In fact, he looks sharp. There’s no better word for it. His expression is still as peaceable as it has been since he arrived, but watching him is like watching a knife slide out of its sheath. He is, abruptly, dangerous. A tool made for cutting.
“If you knew where I’ve been, you would be terrified of me,” he says.

Their first mate's not just a master swordsman but, having defeated the legendary Dracule "Hawk Eyes" Mihawk, is now considered the World's Greatest Swordsman, and the other members of their crew are no less exceptional, each having made lasting impressions and significant advancements in their own areas of expertise.
They're an impressive bunch of pirates, to be sure- but lately they've been gaining popularity for a different reason entirely, and when Heart Pirate captain and long-time ally Trafalgar D. Water Law finds himself called in to assist with a special project, he's not only given a firsthand look at what Monkey D. Luffy's crew has been up to... but he also gets a hell of a lot more than he bargained for in the process...

He'd always been a pretty boy. Pretty and slight and mischievous, a soft dusting of freckles and a strange, angular face; all pointed jaw and sharp grin, cheekbones and bare shoulders. Jinbei remembers meeting Whitebeard's eyes over the lad's head, once, the look of mutual understanding that had passed between them. Compelling, isn’t he? that look seemed to say.
