Felix’s brow furrowed, his arms crossing in front of his chest, radiating teenage resentment. “I feel like I’m going to regret asking this, but what the fuck does that mean?”

The hand entwined in his gripped his harder. “What are you thinking about?”
“I don’t…” The words came out tentative, cautious. “I don’t remember.”
