  1. Summary

What if Rose Landry wasn't your typical straight girl best friend? This is my imagining of events if Rose was a little less girl-next-door, and a little more chaos bisexual, whose real calling is tormenting Shane. I have a rough outline for the series but it will no doubt change with my workload and motivation levels:
1 - Tit for tat (Rose announces the breakup. Shane is stressed and Ilya is over the moon.) - COMPLETED
2 - I told my friends, and we high fived (Rose and Shane get together for Exes Night. Rose finds out about Ilya) - COMPLETED
3 - check my nails, tell me how you feel (The internet takes note of Shane's makeover. Rose enjoys stressing Shane out online.) - COMPLETED
4 - that lady lady, she's the man (Svetlana doesn't take kindly to assumptions about her and Ilya's relationship. It's her turn to be the Chaos Bisexual.) - COMPLETED
5 - Now i'm on your ex's side (Rose joins the Montréal WAG chat. She is not a WAG.) - NOT STARTED
6 - She might leave with me (Rose attends a Boston game. The Internet is crashing out. Shane is so done.) - NOT STARTED

    Summary

Life feels so chaotic for Shane sometimes, with all the loud noises and the unwritten rules he’s expected to follow, even though no one ever taught them to him. It’s why the bookstore feels more like home to him than anywhere else in Boston. It doesn’t ask Shane to be anything other than himself. Doesn’t ask for any more than he can give.

    He can just exist here.

Shane likes slow, likes taking his time. And Ilya - without saying or doing anything in particular - makes Shane feel like that’s okay. Like he isn’t doing anything wrong by standing still sometimes.

(Or, Shane works in a bookstore, Ilya plays hockey, and they both go to the same college. They fall in love in every universe.)

    Summary

“So the MVP player of today’s game, where you kicked our asses, is drinking alone in a basement. Isn’t that ironic?”

“Well, I’m drinking along with a sore loser of today’s game, sitting in said basement. Isn’t that ironic?”

Or: Cliff Marleau decided to go for a beer after the defeat to Montreal and left the bar with number of a surprisingly sassy twenty-year-old Voyageur and a ten-step adoption plan

    Summary

“Can’t hang out tonight, Hayd. I have plans.”

“Bullshit,” Hayden responds. “You never have plans.”

Objectively, this used to be true. Nowadays Shane has many, many plans, between his nightly plans to look at Ilya’s penis through Skype and his various long-term plans laid out helpfully in his notebook, Canva (For Ilya’s sake. He is a visual learner), and more recently, Excel. Shane loves that excel sheet. He’s colour coded it.

In 2017, Shane Hollander spirals and proposes to his boyfriend of 4 days (or 7 years, or 9 years, or not his boyfriend at all, depending on how you look at it), which leads to a lot of plans, weird theories in the Montreal Voyageur locker room, some Twitter drama, and Ilya Rozanov entering his WAG era.

    Summary

In Hockey, when a fight breaks out, all other players pair off with a player on the opposite team to prevent anybody else from entering the fight. It's a form of self policing to prevent a 2 on 1. Players guard their man to stop unfair play.

    Or

Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov always pair off during fights. It's apparently a tradition, and the fans can't get enough of it.
