But by the accursed brims themselves, by the pointed caps and the wise, by the silverwood, the source of both his magic and anguish, this day is rapidly steering towards a very hellish week, one that Qifrey really doesn’t need right now.
Qifrey is in heat, he is not supposed to be in heat, but he is, and all he wants is for Olruggio to come and hold him, scent him, make it better. But Olruggio cannot hold him, and Qifrey know this.

Varka liked to accommodate everyone by watching and adjusting himself, so no one felt uncomfortable. Whether for the Knights or for his friends, he never changed.
Flins believed it was a beautiful thing. Humans were fragile and needed that coddling. But he was not human. He needed Varka to stop asking him what he wanted and to start giving him orders.
