Summary
When academic rivals Jaemin and Donghyuck wake an ancient, mythological force in a basement, it makes them an offer: their most desperate wish made true, just like magic.
But when they discover the impossibly high price, the two of them are forced into an uneasy, tense alliance as they scramble to undo the damage before it’s too late.
It doesn’t help that Donghyuck finds him increasingly drawn to Jaemin in ways he’s not ready to admit.

Summary
Donghyuck looks up and immediately feels a hysterical laugh bubble up in his throat. It’s fucking Mark Lee, ex-best friend, ex-love of his life, standing and looking at him with stupidly gentle concern. He looks good. He looks better than he did last summer, somehow. It shouldn’t be possible.
He holds himself with that same easy, athletic grace. His blonde dye job, which Donghyuck had seen on his Instagram a few months ago, is growing out at the roots. He’s wearing a windbreaker and jean shorts, and when Donghyuck looks at the strong, built lines of Mark’s legs, he wishes the meteor would hurry it up.
---
Donghyuck dreams about the end of the world, and also about Mark Lee.

What do you get if you take Valentine's Day plans plus Mark's generally horrible luck?
(Mark's not sure, but it's gotta be something along the lines of a nosebleed, a busted pair of sneakers, a boyfriend with slightly hurt feelings, and the world's slimiest kiss.)

Summary
Donghyuck thinks of Mark Lee’s dumb, earnest face, his not-quite-dimpled smile, his jeans, his cursebreaker hands. So much had changed in those two years since high school, and yet. And yet.
Call me if you want help, Mark had said.
--
or: a backfired spell, a reconciliation of mortality, and a lot of awkward flirting. And still, Mark Lee sticks around. -

Summary
Listen. The whole vigilante thing wasn’t Donghyuck’s idea, it was Mark’s. Donghyuck only agreed because he’s absolutely in love with him, and maybe because he was a little bored with smashing windows and jumping off of rooftops.
Saving their city also wasn’t his idea, but Donghyuck’s learning that very little is actually in his control when it comes to Mark.
(or: Mark Lee dies twice, and nine months later, he and Donghyuck unfortunately find the fate of the city resting on their shoulders).

Summary
Love at first sight, Mark discovers, is difficult when it's with a boy he's supposed to hate.
It is especially difficult when a hidden danger strikes from the shadows, threatening to tear their city to pieces and all they hold dear, and even more so when they discover they may be the only ones that can stop it.

The fact that Jeno and Mark had single, solitary, one-night stand on its own isn't the problem.

Summary
“Wow, we’ve really fucked it all up,” Jaemin says, a little breathless. Jeno grins, though there’s something unsure about his expression, like he can’t tell if Jaemin is joking or not.
There’s a brief moment of silence. Seagulls screech off in the distance, and Jaemin looks at the familiar planes of Jeno’s face. The face he’s known (and loved!) for years, now, as something decisively non-platonic, but mostly as one of his best friends. And it’s both kinds of love that have him saying, “come to Thanksgiving at my house.”
(alternatively: Jeno spends Thanksgiving with a different sort of family, and Jaemin figures out how to tell him how he feels.)
