    “Damian?” Drake asks, and his voice breaks on the name. He takes a few steps forward, careful, and Damian tries not to flinch away. Cain follows in careful steps. “Damian, what…what are these?”

    Damian tries to maintain the bit of dignity he has left. He’s not—he’s not embarrassed, but having his secret—so well kept, and broken after so many years—aired in such a way makes his breathing quicken and become uneven. “What do you think they are, Drake?”

    Damian shivered as Ivy’s pollen gradually took effect, ice plunging in his heart, freezing water replacing the warm blood he rationally knew was still travelling through his veins.

     

    Or: Damian gets a face full of Ivy's pollen but doesn't tell anyone. Too bad there's someone who notices anyway.

    "This is Damian" Talia says as she puts a hand on his shoulder. "After his allience with Bane, my father no longer considered Damian's lineage suitable for the Demon's Heir, casted him out of his family, removing him from under my protection as well."

    She doesn't say more, but Tim's not stupid and he can read between the lines and the kid's, Damian's state speaks for itself. Tim is not overly familiar with the ways of the League, but he can imagine many disgruntled assasins would like to take their grudges against Ra's out on a kid who's no longer under the Demon's Head protection.

    Or: Talia decides Damian can't stay with the League after the events of Legacy and Tim just happens to be in Paris at the right time to gain a little bother

    Jason wakes up in the League of Assassins and meets a 10-year-old with zero social skills. He is then forced to take this child to "work" in Gotham.

    OR

    Jason dies, gets revived, is thrown into a Lazarus Pit, and meets Damian, the mini, more annoying version of Bruce. After a while of living in the league, he is shoved in a helicopter with the kid. Once they reach Gotham, they gradually start to get along, even if it occasionally requires some deal-making and bargaining to keep the peace. Jason finally gets his partner in crime/emotional support murder-child he didn't know he needed.

    Damian wakes up slowly, his head pounding. Voices filter in through the roaring in his ears, arguing from the sound of it.

    “Leave him alone!” Jon’s voice gets through everything else, pulling Damian to consciousness faster.

    He pulls his heavy eyes open, blinking heavily. Two figures come into view. One is Jon, attached to a chair with thick restraints. Damian can’t tell what they’re made out of from here, but he can assume. The other is a man in a white face mask. Damian is restrained to a table, tilted at an angle.

    “Tell me how to get his mask off,” the man demands, turning to Jon.
