Illi had become somewhat obsessed with the new kid in her English class, as Mikey had said. But she usually chose against listening to anything Mikey had to say because he had also claimed that Illi was “obsessed” with her friend Ray Toro back before he moved, which she definitely wasn't. She was just curious about Frank; she thought he was interesting. She thought his piercings were especially interesting, the way the light from the window reflected off the silver metal as the sun rose during English. She thought his hair was interesting, too. The way it looked like he only cared enough to style the front so that it curled and framed his face. She thought the way he wore his uniform was interesting. He never wore his tie right; it was always a bit too loose, and his shirt was rarely buttoned all the way, which let her see the tattoo on his neck. She thought his tattoo was interesting, and she was curious how a 16-year-old was allowed to get one, or if he did it himself behind his parents' backs. She was curious if he had any more. Like she said, she wasn't obsessed, she just thought he was interesting.

Summary

Though Frank is battling demons that he thought he’d long since defeated, and Gerard is suffering from a seemingly-endless identity crisis, the two just might find peace in the chaos that is each other.
~“Do all your office hours appointments go like this, Professor?” Frank said, his voice barely a whisper. His eyes fixated on a single strand of hair that had fallen in Gerard’s eyes, and his heart rate jumped as he awaited a response.
“You got me.” Gerard said with a grin, narrowing his eyes. He lifted his hands and shook them in a mimicked surrender. “I’m playing favorites.”
