Summary
He visibly flinched at his parents reaction to his captain calling their son 'Buck' (for a reason unbeknownst to him, his parents hated nicknames, and even the idea of them).
"You're still letting people call you that", Margaret stayed flatly, the only sense of emotion was the immediate disappointment in her son, not knowing why he refused to go by his birth name.
"It's just a nickname mom.", with a hint a frustration creeping into his voice, then immediately regretting it, proceeding to shrink back into his chair.
OR
Buck finally begins to get his life together once he joins the 118. He meets Bobby and Eddie, and it is all he can imagine in a family. Until his parents visit and old memories resurface.
