The Squawk was blissfully quiet for the first time in days. Finally having Vickie fighting on their side gave them a voice of medical reason, and everyone had agreed to sleep for the night (or, at least for an hour or two). But the air was warm for a November night, and the grass outside was perfectly cool. The stars were shining. The moon was full. So, naturally, Steve and Robin laid on the grass beside the radio tower.

Summary
The Squawk had become their cover, their communication hub, their war room. Robin did the actual broadcasts mostly playing music and reading pre-written community updates approved by the military presence in town, but the real purpose was the coded messages. Steve had helped her set up the whole system, spending hours figuring out how to get all the sound effects she wanted, taping things to walls and attempting to MacGyver random things around the station.
That was just who Steve was, but looking around the room now, Robin wondered more and more if anyone else actually saw that.

“Dick Grayson.” The voice was barely more than a whisper, but it kept catching him off guard. He would be almost asleep, so close to letting himself relax just enough to collapse into any semblance of rest, and then he would hear it. After checking for any sort of device that could be stowed away in his apartment and half-way destroying each room looking for someone hiding, he gave up on trying to find the source.
After three days, he had turned off his phone. He thought that it would be better to just turn it off than smash it when the next person tried to call him.
