Summary
“It’s perfectly logical. We’re bound to be caught at some point together, and as far as I can see there’s no downside to connecting Mr. Warren to Mr. Wren socially. We’ll have an easier time explaining ourselves being together if we’re observed being together, and since you’ve vetoed all of my suggestions for activities that you could take up—“
“I’m not joining a bowling league, Harold,” John says firmly.

Summary
“I took credit for your sandwiches tonight,” Steve says, and out of the corner of his eye he can see Grace make some sort of gesture that involves her hand going to her face, but he can’t look away from Danny to figure out if it’s shock or disgust or joy.
Or: Steve picks a base. (As always, he may need a refresher on the rules.)

Summary
The mall is in flames, vomiting greasy smoke and the smell of burning plastic. Steam from the firemen's hoses drifts thick through the air. Steve stares at the fire, his expression so openly forlorn that Lou aches for him.
They find Danny's car on one of the lower parking decks.
They don't find Danny.
Just another of those oh-noes-he's-dead-wait-he-isn't stories because I've only written that particular trope a dozen times so far.

Summary
“I bet,” Lacey says. “So what’s the lucky lady’s name?”
“His name’s Danny,” McGarrett says, which cuts Dwight’s mental tangent about shoe wear short rather abruptly. “And you probably shouldn’t call him a lucky lady where he can hear you.”
Or: When two of Steve’s old SEAL buddies catch up with him in Hawaii, they discover he’s been busy. Just not with anything they would have guessed. (Or: Steve and Danny are married and have a metric ton of kids and Steve can’t shut up about it.)
