    Vector was planning a stakeout… and as was planned… they would hide behind an inconspicuous pile of barrels, busting what may be an underground ring of counterfeit rings. While they would be well hidden… for added measure… it wouldn’t hurt to have a fly on the wall… or… a chameleon hidden in the ceiling of their old warehouse. His invisibility helped… but in order to reach true perfection… Espio would have to become one with his environment.

    Sinking into the old wood in his room, Espio could feel himself slipping from this plane…

    And then he heard a knock on his door.

    Espio wordlessly rose from his seat and opened his door to greet Charmy. He was surprised at the image in front of him. Even though it was well into the morning, Charmy stared up bleary-eyed at Espio. His legs shook, maybe even his whole body. Was he cold?

    Charmy was sick.
