once he was done, he noticed his phone was still pinging uncontrollably from where he’d left it on the sink as he ran his towel over his face. he picked it up with his free hand, lest it be something important. he was met with tens of messages from john asking if he’d seen jack, whether he’d called him, if anyone had, because he wasn’t in their room, the bar or outside the hotel. jordan suddenly felt more awake now, and quickly dressed in a fresh t-shirt and shorts, picking up the next of john’s calls.

as he rounded the corner, focusing on his hands fidgeting with the zip on the end of his jacket, he managed to pay so little attention to what was going on around him, that he walked head first into a solid body, and almost tripped over with the force at which he did so.
