Summary
“Do you always stare at strange sharks, little fish?” Wriothesley asks, rolling his tail in a lazy undulation, propelling himself in an indolent arc around Neuvillette’s body.
Neuvillette’s heart pounds in his chest, a wild and strange beating that he has never felt before. His mouth is somehow dry for all the water that floods it, and he finds himself trembling even though he feels nothing of fear.
“You are not strange,” Neuvillette says, turning in a slow revolution to match Wriothesley. “I know something of you.”
“Do you?” Wriothesley asks, and Neuvillette is once more keenly aware of the fact that Wriothesley is a predator.
After Neuvillette saves his life, Wriothesley offers him shelter from a deadly storm.

Summary
“Well now, I have to say I didn’t expect this when I smelled a dying snake.”
In one of the larger gaps above his face, the view of the surface overhead is completely obscured by a narrowed, blood red eye. As Tobirama fixes his gaze on it with all the focus he can muster, it curves into an unnerving crescent as if the person to whom it belongs is smiling down at him. A cold shiver ripples along his spine.
“This seems like it’s quite the predicament, hm? Can’t imagine how cut up you must be if the water around here smells this good.” The voice is a deep, low, husky thing, its tone teasing for all that the words are practically a threat. At that moment, there is no doubt in Tobirama’s mind that the mer speaking to him is something dangerous, something predatory. His throat clicks around a thick swallow, and suddenly drowning doesn't seem all that bad.

Summary
Durin has learnt a lot about "courting" and "romance" from observing humans. He still doesn't really understand much, but according to his observations, he definitely thinks there's something "going on" between Albedo and Wanderer. Durin decides it's up to him to do something about it, and begins his great undertaking of a certain task he's heard of: the art of "match making".
Albedo was speechless for a moment before finally speaking up. “Durin,” he asked nicely, “just how many people did you ask about this?”
Wanderer watched with apprehension as Durin mentally counted on his fingers, distinctly feeling the physical sensation of a rock dropping into his stomach, as Durin’s two hands ran out of fingers and he had to start fresh on his left hand once again.
“You know what? Don’t answer that. Don’t answer that question.” Wanderer snapped.

"Kind of scrawny, aren't you?" Ajaw says suddenly, scrutinising Kinich from head to toe. "No wonder you don't have any children."
Kinich, who considers himself used to all the nonsense that falls from Ajaw's dragon mouth, is taken aback. "How are those two things remotely related?"—and then instantly wishes he didn't ask.
Ajaw slaps Kinich's belly with a phlogiston paw. "Look at this!" he cries. "It's all concave! You can't hold any eggs in here. And this," he adds, zipping to Kinich's arm and holding it aloft. "There's no meat, you've got sticks for limbs, tch! You can't feed any children like this."
Kinich feels as if his mind ran to catch up, but then tripped and fell into a giant hole of Wait what did he say!? "Eggs," he repeats. "Children."
"Don't even think about having mine." Ajaw sniffs disdainfully.
