Could he give up everything in order to see to it that the future was changed? Would he, in a new timeline, still meet his mate and fall in love with him? Would it matter so long as his mate lived to see another day? A burning fire lights up in his chest as he turns away from the image of the raven-haired Shinigami Captain to look upon the Soul King.
