    Hermione put her arm on his shoulder. He turned to look at her. Swallowed the blood in his mouth. He felt so strange.

    Don't worry, he wanted to tell her. I'll blink and it will all be over.

    His mouth didn't move.

Drooling on his pillow. Blissfully dreaming of muscle cars and guns, or whatever it was teenagers dreamed of. Even though he was twenty now, and not a teenager anymore.
