Scott woke with his face pressed flat to the library desk.
That hadn't been an usual phenomena for a while, not since most of Vulpes disappeared. Eloise soon made her appearance as well, having been trapped in a cupboard, and was instantly on board with helping Scott as much as she could when she heard the news.
Melinks also became a more frequent face, but wasn't too interested in academics, on account of not being the most well-educated. She still made sure that Eloise and Scott were always fed and hydrated, like some kind of angel sent from the heavens to help workaholics specifically.
The help was appreciated. It made him feel just a little bit stronger. But it wasn't enough.

Astronomy is not a profitable profession. Legs doesn't mind.
He's supposed to be an alchemist, and he is. Of course he is—he's good at it, too, because he can learn and he can do it fast. That's why he sometimes sneaks out at night, but he's pretty sure Olsted knows and just doesn't bother him about it. His mentor doesn't… he doesn't particularly care about him, but that's okay.
The stars are too beautiful to ignore.

Summary
Pyro comes back to life 200 years later, no one knows how, he just washed ashore from the river. He’s fine and all healthy… for the most part. Pearl and Cleo find him and decide to call up Abolish, seeing as he was the only one who knew the guy when he was alive that didn’t try to kill them. Abolish takes him home and volunteers to look after Pyro, who has lost certain vampiric abilities such as immediate healing and lack of needing sleeping. Along with that, he has an insane amount of muscle atrophy and requires more blood than usual. So for the first three or four days at Abolish’s apartment Pyro just sleeps the whole time. After that he can barely move, and when he does it hurts because of how sore he is on top of the difficulty itself. Abolish takes care of him and slowly, Pyro gets better. They’re both insanely in love with the other and refuses to do anything about it; both of them because their worried about making the other feel uncomfortable if they didn’t feel the same, especially as Abolish had been the one in charge of Pyro’s physical therapy and (in the early stages) his personal hygiene. So they’re stuck as this evil fucking situationship until one of them gets the guts to do anything about it.
