What the fuck had Anna been doing there? Most of Lexie’s friends lived off takeaway and speed, and barely ever set foot in a supermarket if they could help it.
“Well, what do you think?” I asked, nose in the air, my own smile creeping in at the edges, like I was the one with a secret, and actually, I was pleased enough to share. Delighted, even. “He’s my fella, duh.”

Dick signs Bruce up. Clark signs up willingly. They accidentally match up and even for the World's Greatest Detective, it takes a while to figure it out. In part because he isn't trying to figure it out, that's the whole point! But also because Boy Scout Superman is definitely straight and definitely not a dude who hangs out at a farm in his free time.
And Superman is confident that Batman probably lives in some random cave system like the gremlin he is, and doubts he even HAS a secret identity because he is so consumed by his Batman persona. Even if he did, he definitely wouldn't join a dating app. That would require wanting to interact with other people and also the capability to smile.- Language:

“How could you tell,” she deadpans and he laughs, his arm brushing up against hers. It’s a nice laugh—clear and genuine, and Lydia finds herself smiling back at him. “I’m Lydia, by the way.”
“Jordan,” he says, nodding a little at her. “Given it’s a mortal sin to be from Minnesota and not know about hockey I’m going to guess you’re visiting.”
“I could have just moved,” she says, and he shakes his head.
“No one is moving here in December. They do that in the summer, then complain about it when the snow starts and doesn’t stop.”

A really exceedingly relaxing and enjoyable read with zero supernatural stuff and a weirdly satisfying amount of realistic logistical hemming and hawing about the mechanics of long distance relationships - esp when one person way outperforms the other financially. In an act of quick placation, Stiles throws up two palms facing outwards in front of his chest. His eyebrows knit together as he hastily and vehemently begins to shake his head, trying desperately to telegraph just how severely Derek has grasped at the wrong end of the stick here.
“Hey, whoa,” he says. “That’s not –”
“You need to get the fuck out of here before I call the cops.” Derek pauses a moment, his nostrils flaring just a second before his eyes flash burning red, his entire face screwing up in this expression of pure disgust that sends a shiver down Stiles’ spine. “Christ, and you’re a human? A human omega? What kind of fucking moron breaks into a werewolves’ house when they’re just a weak fucking human?”
An alpha werewolf and a human omega: a love story that was never supposed to happen.
