Hannibal sets his wine down, hoisting himself up from the leather chair. He steps to Will, tapping his hand with his index finger. Then Hannibal drags it up Will’s arm as he rounds his chair. The finger reaches Will’s shoulder, and Hannibal removes it to brace his hands on the chair’s armrests, bracketing Will in from behind. He rests his lips in Will’s curls. Will can feel his smile.

The mystery comes to its conclusion before the Verax Leo in Marmoreal Market. Phainon is not, unlike some of his colleagues, in the habit of damaging the city’s statuary. But if striking with Dawnmaker will satisfy his curiosity, he is willing to risk Aglaea’s displeasure.
“My lord,” Verax Leo finally grumbles. “It concerns Kremnoan royalty.”
Phainon’s expression sharpens. “...Has something happened to Mydeimos?”
“No, Lord Phainon. Nothing like that,” The lion hesitates. “It’s... the princess.”Phainon comes to learn that Okhema is obsessed with a drag queen named "Princess of Castrum Kremnos," an extravagantly dressed performer who spends her weekends reducing audiences to laughter with a parody of the real Crown Prince. The crowd thinks it is the ultimate comedy act, happily joking that the princess and prince have never been seen in the same room.
There is no such parody. Okhema thinks it sees a brilliant satire. Phainon thinks a mysterious performer has stolen the privilege of making fun of his rival. And Mydei is just trying to make sure no one notices that the prince and the princess share the exact same biceps.

It's surprisingly difficult to find someone who knows exactly how to hold you together by letting you fall apart, and the last place Phainon expects to find that person is during one of his streams.
Life though, is full of surprises.
