Summary
When Theo comes back from hell, the reality of it becomes too much and he does the only thing he couldn't do in there: shift. Four months after the chimera escaped the jail cell the pack placed him in, he appears in Liam’s backyard… except he’s in wolf form and starving.
Liam decides that if Theo is his responsibility then he must help him figure out why the chimera can’t shift back to human. Maybe the puppy pack would take him more seriously if he stopped rambling about Theo for one fucking minute. Or if Theo stopped being a lap dog on main.

When Scott left for college, Liam fell into the habit of calling Theo whenever he needed help.
A falling out should’ve changed that. Years of silence after definitely should’ve changed that.
But, well. Liam needs help, and old habits die hard.

Summary
“Oh, fuck that,” Emmit says. “Some crazy hunter cult has taken over that place, you couldn’t pay me to set foot in that hell hole.”
Theo snorts. “Whatever’s happening, I’d bet on the McCall pack.”
“I wouldn’t,” Emmit says. “Apparently the cult kidnapped one of the betas, and—“
He cuts off, yelping, as Theo reaches forward and hauls him over the desk. He stares up at Theo, wide-eyed, as Theo twists his fingers just that much harder in his collar, and asks, sweet, “What beta?”

"Scott’s been pretty busy since he graduated. I’m supervising the Pack’s interests while he’s getting ready for college.”
Theo hummed with exaggerated realization. “I see. And you think checking on me is part of your duties because you’ve stepped up to fill those big Alpha shoes.”
“I’m staying informed on matters of Pack business,” Liam corrected.
“Just one problem there—I’m not part of Scott’s Pack.”
“Text me,” he said, trying on stern for a change.
It made Theo double-take. “What exactly do you imagine we’ll have to say to each other?”
