He forces his attention away from the little family peacefully playing across the room to his boyfriend instead. He swallows. “I think I know what’s going on with me,” he whispers, taking Eddie’s hand into his.
Eddie cocks his head to the side, a question on his face. “What do you mean?”
Buck turns his head back to the omega and her three pups. A strong, sudden feeling of jealousy and envy takes him over. Buck’s never felt like this before. He turns to look at Eddie again.
It’s Eddie’s turn to have his entire attention focused on the four of them on the other side of the waiting room. Only, in his eyes, Buck sees something other than jealousy.
