“Georgie,” she whispered. He crouched down by her chair and took her hands in his. They were cool, small and fragile in his. He had loved her almost his entire life. Sweet, compassionate, kind, Marci, with her bright smile and ability to get along with everybody, her inability to see the worst in people. He struggled not to squeeze her hands too hard. He looked into her eyes, and he forgot how to breathe. He loved her. He loved her so very much. He didn't think he could survive without her. Her voice was suddenly very hoarse, and her eyes filled with tears. “I want a divorce.”
He stared at her, not processing what she just said. He looked deep into her eyes. Kneeling there, he remembered looking down into her eyes on their wedding day, holding her tiny, trembling hands in his, returning her brilliant, beaming smile with one far too small of his own. His heart had been pounding in his chest, he’d hardly heard the pastor’s words over the swishing of blood circulating through his ears, and to this day, it was the happiest moments of his entire life. His eyes darted back and forth between hers.
His chest ached knowing it wouldn’t be enough to make him stop.
“No,” he said simply and then stood.

My fingers came up and gently trailed along the black marker marring my skin. My eyes lowered. It wasn’t the large, black, boldly displayed letters that spelled out the word WHORE across my chest that had me truly crippled with fear in that moment, but the letters printed beneath them, below my belly, across my lower abdomen… large, menacing... a word with more far reaching implications than the simple derogatory insult someone who would drug and rape a woman might throw at them. No, this was far more unsettling, far more frightening. Drawn across my lower bellow, just above the neatly groomed curls nestled between my legs, written in black maker, in capital letters, was the word MINE.

1950s California. Sandor escapes Folsom Prison and comes across a farmhouse where Sansa Stark is living with her stepfather, Petyr Baelish. Rather than killing the girl to prevent her from turning him into the police, he takes her up on a particularly devious offer that will see both of them getting what they want.
Loosely based on "Deep Valley" - a novel by Dan Totheroh that was adapted into a 1947 film released by Warner Bros. This is not a crossover but I used the basic premise of "escaped convict comes across sheltered farm girl" as inspiration for this fic, so credit is due not just to GRRM but also Dan Totheroh.
