Summary
Remus stared blankly down at the paperwork on James and Lily’s mahogany coffee table. He looked up for just a moment and immediately caught the social worker’s expectant gaze.
“I think I’m going to need a minute”, he said.
“I think I’m gonna need a drink”, said Sirius with an equally dazed expression.

Basically a shameless Wolfstar insert for the movie “Life As We Know It.”

Summary
"Is okay, Hollander," said Rozanov. "I will help you. You are," he paused. "Stunted. I looked up this word."
-
Or: teenage Ilya billets with the Hollanders. He and Shane stumble into what eventually becomes an intense, obsessive, codependent d/s dynamic that escalates wildly for years after. Special mentions to denial, repression, pining-while-fucking, Minnesota, sexting, eternal soulmate love, and being unbelievably horned up at every single moment of the day.Not a teen fic I promise! They are adults after chapter two.

Summary
Then like an anomaly in one of his datasets, a green OPEN tag appears next to one of the restaurants. Shane squints his eyes, having difficulty seeing properly without his glasses.
Irina's Kitchen

3 reviewsShane doesn't bother reading them. He taps on the website and waits for it to load. Only to be met with error.
Sighing he exits the page and keeps on scrolling. Nothing that is open catches his interest and the rest are closed. He's wondering how stale celery would taste dipped in pickle juice when his eyes land on Irina's Kitchen once more.
There's a phone number under the address. Shane bites his lower lip and wonders if he should call.
A woman with an accented voice picks up after the 5th ring.
“Hello?”
“Uh, hey, are you guys still open?”

Summary
Shane Hollander goes on LTIR just before the Sochi Olympics with no public statement and an outpour of fan theories and media speculation. For the next two years of radio silence, Ilya grapples with the ghost of a relationship that could never be but almost was, wondering what he’d done wrong, yes—but mostly just coming to terms with the fact that his worry fits best by another name; one that neither of them can afford to call it.
In 2017, Shane returns to reclaim his position on the ice opposite Ilya, but things are different now. Ilya worries that there's someone else, and there is.
Just not in the way he'd expected.

Summary
Shane's eyes squeeze closed again. “We had reason to put rules in place. Protocol. If ever—if it got to a place where, if he was ever feeling like he might—"
Hayden’s body understands before his mind catches up. His blood runs cold for a second, stuck on the scrunch of Shane’s face, the clench of his fist, how desperate he’d been to see Rozanov—Ilya—just now. To make sure that he was okay. Here, in person.
Not hurt. Alive.
“Oh,” Hayden hears himself say distantly. “Oh, fuck, Shane.”
--
or, Ilya needs a place to go, and Hayden's happens to be the closest. It turns out to be a good thing.

Summary
Cliff had to approach this correctly, or Ilya was liable to sock him in the jaw and clam up entirely. Subtlety was his friend here.
And all of that flew immediately out of his head the moment that Ilya opened his front door, looking sweaty and shirtless and mildly pissed off, which was pretty much his standard look.
“Are you moving to Canada for some fuckboy?” was how the question came out of his mouth instead.
AKA the time that Cliff Marleau figured almost all of it out
