Smallville Clex Week 2026 | June 9th | Prompt: Truth/Memory
In an attempt to retrieve his lost memories, Lex inadvertently resets his own brain back to its factory settings and reverts back to his 23-year-old self at the exact moment his mind was wiped at Belle Reve in 2003. He wakes up alone and confused in 2016 with no idea that he and Clark are enemies and absolutely no recollection of the many ways they've hurt each other.
Clark's memories, on the other hand, are still completely intact. He knows exactly what went wrong between them, and he refuses to make the same mistakes twice.
The truth, and their inability to tell it, is what tore Clark and Lex's relationship apart. Now it's the only thing that can bring them back together.

It was strange. The pull felt innate, how a bird instinctively knows polar North. Like it was something as simple as breathing for Clark.
He didn’t understand how people could live like this, being pulled away from their own body. The fierce need to move. Towards something achingly familiar.
Clark understands after the first two days that it’s not just a pull. He realizes it as he sits on the tin roof outside his bedroom window and looks at the stars. Looks in the direction of the pull, eyes searching the shadows for something he couldn’t quite name. But he knows he’s being drawn home.
To safety. To family.

Lex looks Jonathan in the eye and sinks to his knees in the straw.
"I'm sorry, Mr. Kent," he says softly. "Please forgive me. I'm begging you. I'll do anything."
Lex finally figures out a way to make amends for inadvertently causing the death of all Jonathan's cows in 1x14 "Zero".

Once, Louis could scarcely keep his hands off a Lestat dressed in proper 20th century attire for a night on the town, and he remembers that many a plan had been postponed or outright forgotten for more carnal, intimate endeavors.
“So if my considerable considerables continue to be squandered…”
Lestat pauses a moment, expectant, but after a beat, Louis turns his remorseless gaze back to his research. Lestat feels the scowl tighten his face before he’s fully aware of it himself, takes up his jacket again, and crosses their loveless bedroom to meet his loveless lover down below.
“Wait.”

He means to say it with rueful annoyance, as if to say, “so he ruined him.” But as Daniel’s text comes in—the most important question I should have asked you in that fucking interview: where do you buy coke in Dubai?—Louis’s voice trails off, his words maybe lacking some of the bite.

Lestat misunderstands what Daniel is to Louis and tries to be a champ about it. Meanwhile Louis rediscovers his drug of choice—Lestat.
