    Wriothesley notices draconic eyes the size of his head looking down at him.

    Instantly, his heart is jump-started into a beating frenzy, pounding in overtime even as he does his best to keep as still as possible. Part of him wants to say something—a witty greeting, perhaps?—just to catch the dragon off guard, but the muzzle certainly isn't helping with his attempts.

    Then he hears the rumble of ancient grounds, sees the rising of a majestic set of claws, and thinks,

    What an honor it is, at least, to die from such a magnificent beast.

    Wriothesley is offered to the Dragon of Water as a sacrifice.

    Spoiler: he does not actually get sacrificed.
