Summary
The apocalypse has come and gone, and against all odds, Pharloom remains standing. The time has come for Hornet to return to Hallownest, accompanied by friends and allies: Shakra hopes to explore the mythical land beyond the wastes, and properly lay to rest a member of her own tribe; Lace fears unraveling without the aid of a Weaver, while contending with the immensity of a future free of her mother’s threads; and the Green Prince lives only only to spite the Citadel, passively seeking a more honorable end than might be found in the rubble of his homeland.
Meanwhile, Hornet returns from Pharloom with magic and knowledge that might aid in the slow recovery of Hallownest and Deepnest–and perhaps offer the chance to call home the sibling she once thought lost to her forever.

"The Fade remembers. As a dreaming land it is slow to change – people see what they want or fear or hope for desperately, but the Fade itself? The physical rocks and water and buildings? They remember long after the people who walked their halls are gone. Normally this remembrance is a passive thing – the feeling of déjà vu as you pass a familiar face, recognising a street in a city you’ve never visited and so on. However, the Breach changed everything. When the initial tear in the veil happened, the Fade and the physical plane we live on started to mix and feed into each other even more than normal. Everyone alive in Thedas at that time fed the Fade their thoughts, their hopes, their very memories. The Fade kept those memories for years and now, a millennium away from the initial Breach, it is giving them back."
In 19:25 Unity, a new phenomenon was recognised across Thedas as people came forwards with memories of their life in the Dragon Age. Ten years later, the Herald reappears.
