    Imagine looking in a mirror.
    Whose face do you see?
    Of course, you see your own.
    It's the same face you've seen in the mirror since you were little.
    Sure, it's grown with you, but it's YOUR face.

     

    For Colt, his brother was his mirror.
    Sure, Ryland had those nerd glasses and his nose wasn't offset from being broken one too many times, but they still shared a face.
    When Ryland was... Gone, Colt couldn't look in the mirror.
    He didn't want to see how disappointed his brother might be.
    Colt let his life fall apart.
    What was the point if your better half had left to save the planet?
    And he was here...
    Alone...
    ...

     

    Colt didn't mean to look at his reflection.
    He was laughing with Jody after a rather successful shoot
    They walked past a tall building. The entire front side was coated in freshly cleaned glass.
    And he looked over.
    Ryland smiled at him. Gentle and full of love.
    Colt couldn't help but smile back.

     

    Maybe he should uncover that mirror back at home...

    Not when he said “partner” like he meant “mate.”
