Summary
“Ed—Eddie…th-think I mess-messed up,” he slurred. His voice was breathy, like he didn’t have the energy to make his voice work.
Fear clamped around Eddie's heart like a vice. Ice formed in his bones, crawling down the length of his spine.
“What happened, Buck? Where are you, are you home?”
“H-home, yeah,” he mumbled. “Think I…th-think I took too many. Don’t…f-feel good.”

Summary
“You are telling me that you didn't know I was homeless?”
“I mean we knew you left home but none of your stories ever indicated that you were homeless.”
Buck let out a soft, humorless laugh. “I was a nineteen year old runaway who didn't have anything but an old jeep and a change of clothes. I went days without eating, barely had gas to keep the engine running, let alone heat. I slept in that car. And when even that didn’t work... I did what I had to.”
He looked down at his hands, like he was remembering the feel of it all – cold nights, empty stomach, silence. “I rented my jeep so I could get money to buy something to eat. I had sex with various people, so I could sleep in a bed for once in a while. I spent days starving to some point that I couldn't feel hungry. I was so weak people would drag me around and force their power over me. So yeah,” He added quietly, his voice raw. “Eventually you learn how to cope. You stop calling it what it was and start calling it a choice. Because if you don’t, it breaks you.”

What started as Chimney's question about body counts, led Buck to reveal something about his past that nobody knew.

Summary
Buck scoffs. “You really think you could go longer than I could without--”
Eddie shakes his head in amusement. “Making a ‘deposit’?” he teases sarcastically, finishing Buck’s sentence when he awkwardly clams up. “Yes, with one hundred percent certainty.”
Buck’s eyebrows raise, his bright grin showing off a row of perfectly white teeth. “Oh, you wanna bet? Since you’re so confident.”
-----
Buck and Eddie challenge each other to see who can go the longest without an orgasm. Eddie’s pretty confident he can win.

Summary
He inspects the way Buck’s face sinks into his pillow, the way his thick arm rests over the comforter, hugging it to his body, the way his brow is still furrowed with tension.
God, he’s beautiful. Eddie shudders at the realization. It’s not like he had never given it a thought before, had never caught himself staring at Buck from across the room—but this is different. It’s not just admiration anymore. His heart warms in a way that makes him uncomfortable and unsure of what he’s feeling.
Subconsciously, he lets one hand reach out, thumb tenderly smoothing over the creases in Buck’s forehead. It’s almost casual, like it’s not a big deal. Like it’s just something he does, even though this moment is anything but casual.
Like he’s not blurring the lines of their relationship right now, like a wave washing over drawings in the sand.or the one where Eddie takes care of Buck when he's being plagued by a bad migraine.
