Summary
Her skin is on fire with each of Clarke’s touches, she’s hyperaware of the thumbs still brushing her cheeks, her lips still burning from their kiss.
“Lexa,” the blonde hums, trying to get her attention.
“Hmm?”
“I’m–”
“–Mommy!” Madi’s voice sounds through the house and Lexa sighs.

Summary:“How do you do it?” the blonde blurts out then. “How do you manage to have a social life while you’re a single mother? I…”
And now Lexa understands why Clarke has followed her inside. They have this one thing in common, and it makes sense that the blonde is searching for ways to adjust as her life is changing, big time.
“I have them,” Lexa motions to the people outside, a gentle smile on her face when she crosses her ankles to get slightly more comfortable standing in the kitchen.
And Clarke, she actually hoists herself up to sit on the kitchen island as if she’s not ready to get back out there, not by far.
OR
The one where Lexa and Clarke are both single moms.

Summary
In the quiet town of Arkadia, twenty-year-old Clarke Griffin spends her days painting storms and hiding from a world that has always felt too loud. Living with Tourette's has taught her to expect judgment, distance, and disappointment-so she keeps her world small, safe, and carefully controlled.
Lexa Woods lives differently.
A young sheriff trying to outrun her own past, Lexa fills her days with patrols, early mornings at the gym, and watching the girl on the porch who paints like she's pouring pieces of herself onto the canvas.
Their connection begins quietly-a few words, a shared silence, a daisy left on a step-but something deeper begins to grow.
Clarke is convinced she's too much for anyone to stay.
Lexa has already decided she isn't going anywhere.
In a story built on patience, quiet understanding, and moments that mean more than words ever could, Clarke and Lexa discover that sometimes the bravest thing you can do is simply let someone stay.

Summary
Clarke Griffin isn’t running away... She’s running toward something—anything that isn’t the shattered remains of her medical residency in Seattle or the memory of finding her fiancé in bed with someone else. Station 47, deep in the Sierra Nevada mountains, was supposed to be a place to breathe. A place where the stakes were high, but the ghosts were few.
She didn't count on the fires being the least dangerous thing on the mountain.
Enter Commander Lexa Woods: brilliant, ruthless, and protecting a heart scorched by losses she refuses to speak of. To Lexa, emotional distance isn't a flaw—it's tactical armor. She believes that survival means solitude, and that loving anyone in this line of work is just a faster way to get them killed.
But when the wind shifts and the world starts to burn, the only thing more terrifying than the fire is the realization that they might not want to survive it alone.
Or... The Firefighter AU where Clarke is the station doctor with something to prove, Lexa is the emotionally repressed Commander who definitely checked out Clarke's credentials, and they are both about to learn that you can't outrun a backdraft.
