Summary
In which Spencer sends his daughter to his former mentor rather than Alyssa, hoping Miranda can take care of her while mistakenly assuming she's found a way to bring back Eva already. Miranda has not. So now she's got a random human toddler who's very resistant to viruses and diseases running around her lab trying to pick up scalpels. Chaos ensues as she tries to make sure the blatant favouritism she is showing to Grace doesn't cause a rift among the lords, or worse, become a weakness that her enemies might attempt to exploit.
She would have a much easier time with that if her child was not constantly swooning over Alcina's oldest daughter whenever they were in the same room.

Her assistants are all working hard, the only Stellaron she's had to contend with for years has been an obedient baseballer, and above all she is not thinking about Ruan Mei. Herta is doing literally anything in the world other than thinking about Ruan Mei and thus balance is achieved.
Herta's messenger goes off in the middle of transporting her new discoveries and suddenly she is thinking of nothing in the world other than Ruan Mei.
