He watched as the words left his mouth, as his sect's faces dropped. Yue Qingyuan and Luo Binghe turned pale. Qi Qingqi, confused. Mu Qingfang, upset but not surprised. Liu Qingge and the various disciples, angry.

"What do you mean by that, shixiong?" Mu Qingfang asked softly.
Shen Qingqiu quickly thought of a way to mitigate. Well, isn't everyone's purpose in life to die? Is that not the circle of life? He means to say.

He kicked the crumpled pile of clothes aside as he spoke, feeling around the floor with his feet. “Have you seen my cross? The cord is smaller than yours.”

Summary
After a long day at the Detective Firm that both Simon and Lannie work at, they had plans to head out for dinner and drinks at the pub downtown that they frequent. Sharing a meal in comfortable silence together, the night slowly morphs into light hearted jabs and lots of alcohol. Intending on just dropping Lannie off at home, she ends up clinging onto Simon, leading him to carry her inside.
