Summary

Slowburn friend-to-lovers romance, heaps and heaps of pining, eventual smut (check my oneshots if you'd like a sample) and a bonus minor Bloodpact on the side.
This fic is intended as a semi-novelization of the game, with some expansions to canon, some filler for plot holes, and a lot of Forgotten Realms/tabletop lore with a big focus on bards and artificers.

Summary
With her companions and former lover Gale still not speaking to her after finding out she was the mastermind behind the Absolute, Tav leaves Baldur’s Gate heartbroken. Eight months later, she finds herself in Waterdeep for a job accompanying some wizards on an expedition. Of course, Gale happens to be the lead researcher for the mission, much to her dismay.
Gale spent months looking for Tav after the fall of the Absolute, with no luck. So imagine his surprise and delight when the ranger the guild sends him for the mission is Tav. Maybe now he can find out why she left. He also has to deal with one of his apprentices’ inappropriate behaviour.

Astraea took his hand in both of hers, fitting their fingers together, and put on her most brilliant smile. The one that worked on everyone in camp, save perhaps Lae’zel. “Please? You’d say no to Astraea Avenmir, Goblinsbane, Defender of the Grove? Alfira is writing a song about me, Volo is writing a book, Bex said she’d name her cat after me, and I think you,” – she tugged for emphasis – “should dance with me."

Summary
Dottie is a wild magic sorcerer. Gale is a wizard. Astarion is trouble. Some classic enemies-to-lovers, slow burn, messy dramatic feelings and hopefully humorous dialogue. This vaguely follows the events of the game with some elements of retweaking and repurposing of bits of in-game dialogue or set pieces to make it more fun/interesting. All characters are mentioned, particularly as friends but the romance/smut is focused on Gale with a little bit of Astarion thrown in for spice. This might change as the work progresses! Explicit content begins around chapter 5. It's a *really* slow burn because torture is fun??

She did like when he begged. Almost as much as she liked the unnecessary firmness of his hand on hers as he prevented her from completing her task. Her jaw clenched at that thought, and she wrenched her hand away from him.

In which a cruel and embittered warlock's tale of vengeance is disrupted by tadpoles and distracted by a charming wizard. After initially extorting him with magical items to assist her in a sidequest involving various hags and fey, she learns that she may also have a more efficient way to help with his orb problem. Unfortunately, this grows more complicated by the day, and Gale realizes that the warlock is not as cruel as she would like to be. (Or, Gale likes cats, and I decided to give him one.)
