Derek’s eyes narrow and Stiles knows he’s fucked up royally, because between one heartbeat and the next, Derek’s pinning him down with one hairy, strong arm.
He practically crawls his way up Stiles’ body, as Stiles scrambles back on the couch to get further away from him, still raising the bowl of candy above his head.
Derek, with a huff of victory finally gets level with Stiles’ face. He reaches up for the bowl again but where Derek’s strong, Stiles is gangly, and it’s still just out of Derek’s reach.
Stiles shoves Derek’s elbow out from under him and he collapses down on top of Stiles with a surprised oomph.
“Can’t get me Derek, I’m the whacky, inflatable arm waving-man,” Stiles laughs delightedly, right in Derek’s face.
Derek’s really close face. His incredibly handsome, stubbly face, a face that is inches away from his own face.
Fuck balls.

“I…” Peter starts but trails off. He spins around and looks at the train station, suddenly taking it all in. “I was in Eichen,” he pauses to look at Stiles, but Stiles waves him on, “and then I was in this train station… We’ve both been here before, haven’t we? We’ve done this before.”
Stiles sighs in relief, sinking down to the floor. “Okay, good. That’s really fucking good,” Stiles says.
“Sorry, in what way is this really fucking good?”
Stiles laughs, a little hysterically. “Well, I think I would go crazy if we were stuck in a time-loop but I was the only one who remembered.”

Now that Peter is alive again, maybe they should talk about the fact that they're mates.

It was around the age of 16 that Stiles finally started to come to terms with the implications of his words and he had made peace with it. On occasion, he thought that maybe they’d be able to work past whatever issues his soulmate had with him, but when even Scott would forlornly glance at his bicep with those big round, pitiful eyes - he knew. So he accepted it!
But one good thing that came out of that whole situation was Lydia. When Stiles had swiftly redirected himself down the opposite end of the hall and ducked into a somewhat empty classroom to escape prying eyes and laughing jeers over the words stamped across his skin, Lydia had followed. She stayed quiet, let Stiles collect himself and get a hold of his breathing again, then calmly said, “Fuck fate.”
