Summary
Newly transferred 3rd year resident Dr. Frank Langdon comes to Pittsburgh Medical Trauma Center with the hopeful expectation that if he keeps his head down and does his job well, he'll be able to finish his emergency medicine residency without anymore hiccups.
What he's not expecting to find is a disconcerting work dynamic amongst the staff that conflicts with his own notions, two older alphas he seems to be undeniably falling for despite trying hard not to, and a looming future that might not let his past remain in the past.

Summary
Bilbo couldn’t bring himself to look at the king. He’d never admit it, but Bilbo grew fond of Thorin, and seeing him, alongside his nephews, in this state hurt him. Bilbo asked of the other members of the company. All lived, no wound they sustained would be fatal. The exceptions were, of course, the king and princes.

In the midst of his flurry of terror, he catches a whiff of a familiar scent, a delightful mix of vanilla, patchouli, and citrus. It gives him pause, and images of lemon patchouli hand cream tucked into the back pocket of a plain black backpack after a hard shift and overpriced vanilla bean lattes exchanging hands across the nurse's station flash in his mind.
