Qui-Gon unconsciously clutched Obi-Wan closer to his chest. His young Padawan made a high-pitched noise of protest but did not resist the motion, limp in Qui-Gon’s arms.
“This is killing him,” Qui-Gon said, looking up at the guard with uncharacteristic desperation in his eyes. “You don’t understand, I can take this dose but he can’t.”
But the guard was not swayed.

Obi-Wan's eyes widened just a bit, a surprised face. “I plummeted us both to death,” he blinked, confused at how Yoda wouldn't get, wouldn't easily draw the conclusion, wouldn't easily agree.
