“You can still hear me from the other side of the room. Or the control room,” Sandrone replied, barely keeping her tone even.
“Hm, yes, I could. But, I think this is the best place to listen,” Columbina concluded with a nod.
Sandrone’s eyebrow twitched. Keep it together. Snapping at the person paying you isn’t a good idea.
“Fine. Just be quiet then,” Sandrone grumbled.

*Though this is essentially Voidborne Heart from Sigrika’s POV, it’s less an entire POV rewrite and more of a sibling(?) piece. They mirror each other, fill in gaps the other leaves out. There are more new scenes than old ones, although the familiar ones are more fleshed out. Though not entirely necessary, reading Voidborne first is recommended, as this was written assuming you know what happens in the other.
