Summary
Ilya Rozanov was green. A deep forest green pulsing with something Shane couldn't put a name to. It was the first time Shane had ever felt that color, and it was overwhelming. He sees the cigarette poking out of Rozanov's mouth, and he feels like his mind is dissolving in a fever. The green shifts to emulate the ocean at the end of a beach day, all soft and with crashing waves, rippling with the setting sun.

Shane gets registered as a telepath when he's seven. He sees (most) colors, flits of sentences, and images, but when he meets Ilya, all he sees is green.

Summary
Shane gets an annual cold, Ilya notices, when they start to officially date. It happens when they're both on the road, and he calls Shane from his shitty hotel and hears him sniffling, nose all blocked while he grumbles about having to sit out a game. Ilya lets him whine, says I know, I know, sweetie, it doesn't feel too good, I am sure. He's imagining Shane a little helpless in bed, unable to move, struck down with fever. It stirs something inside him, seeing Shane, usually so whip strong, fastest skater he's seen, laid away to waste by the simple common cold.

Summary
"Where did this come from?" Shane asks, eyes darting to the tail and back at the team.
"From behind you, man. It's attached to your butt," Haas says, still holding a (Shane's?) tail in his hand. It's black and furry. It's also ginormous; nothing like a regular cat tail. More like a cat tail made for a hockey player well over 200 pounds, 6 feet tall, all muscled. Custom.
Shane's head whips to Ilya — Ilya who is looking down at the tail, eyes dilated. He brings up a finger to stroke the black fur, petting it.
"Ilya." Ilya's head snaps up. "What the fuck did you do?"

If Ilya had struggled this much to get off in his own body, he would have gone to the hospital.
Well. He wouldn't have, actually, but he would have let himself have an insanely high budget to find a discreet professional to come to his home and consult about his dick. Point is, he would have considered it an emergency of the upmost importance and possibly a harbinger of his death.
It was humiliating to type: Been touching my dick for one hundred years… nothing is happening. Before he hit send, he thought of Shane's shrill voice climbing to yell at him and deleted the message. He wrote instead: I have question. Private.

Ilya is not going to steal Shane Hollander's dog. That would be illegal. And wrong. And someone would probably find out and make Ilya give him back.

But there is nothing wrong with giving Chernysh all the pats and treats that he deserves, is there?
Nothing wrong with encouraging Chernysh to spend more and more time at Ilya's house until he doesn't even remember who Hollander is.
Because Hollander is stupid and boring and does not deserve a dog as good as Chernysh. No, he doesn't, does he? Because Chernysh is the best boy in the whole world, yes he is.
