There’s blood trickling down the back of Reg’s throat, and Johnny can see it through his open mouth, through the join between nose and throat. It pools there, thick and red and when Reg swallows without closing his mouth Johnny has to do something about it. He desperately wants to prod at the quickly bruising lump of Reg’s nose, wants to get his fingers slick with the blood and slime of Reg’s throat, wants to watch him squirm and choke on it.
