“Scara, hey!” He jumps up from the couch, bounding over to Albedo and Scara, who had stopped just in front of the entrance. Gaming follows behind him, leaving Kinich on the couch. “I was just about to make my way back to the city after I took a break here in the teapot. What are you doing here?”
Sethos is smiling at him, head tilted in that puppy-like way of his and eyes that glitter with an encompassing warmth, and it's all too much. Scara stares at him with such distress that the smiles slip off Sethos and Gaming’s faces, their smiles turning into expressions of concern. He feels his lips twitch in a way that warns him of what’s to come but try as he might, he can't fight the words that crawl up his throat.
“Fuck, you're so pretty.” He breathes eventually, and it's like a quarter of the weight on his chest has lifted with it, though it’s quickly replaced by the ponderous weight of his mortification.
