    Damian Wayne knows he has an issue with self-harming. He also knows the solution to his crippling guilt is only a short-term one, but he doesn't see any other forms of reprieve.
    One night, on patrol, he comes across a parrot that has a similar issue of damaging itself. Fate is funny that way--it often likes to walk hand-in-hand with coincidence.
    As Damian spends more days with the bird at his side, he begins to realize that perhaps the endeavor that is his life does not have to be a lonely one. (And soon enough, he will understand just how much his father and brother love him.)

    Or: Damian meets a cockatoo, and subsequently takes it home. Both birds have a little bit of a plucking problem.
