Summary
This is a reference guide intended to help writers of Regency-era stories by providing a quick place to check whether a certain phrase was in use in the era, and if so, how it was used. The earliest attestation dates of phrases that postdate the Regency era might also make this guide useful to writers of neo-Victorian fiction.

Summary
She left in a hurry, but moments later, she came back. “Colin?”
“Did you forget something, my love?”
Penelope beamed at him. “I love you.”
Colin was not sure he could grin more if he tried. “I love you too.”
She rushed off again, and he could still feel the butterflies fluttering in his stomach. Truly, he would never tire of hearing Penelope say that she loved him. It was the greatest fact he had ever known.
He noticed her journal remained open on her desk, and he went to pick it up, when a sentence caught his eye.
‘Colin thinks I have entrapped him, and I am not sure I have ever felt pain like this.’
In which, Colin reads Penelope's journal, and learns what was going through her head during their fallout.

Summary
“Well, apparently we're stuck here.” Colin announced as Pen looked at him with wide eyes. Hoping to alleviate her fears, he immediately continued, “how about we play a little game?”
She looked at him skeptically. “What game?”
“I still I have Internet, I'll find one of those ‘how well do you know your best friend’ quizzes, and prove I know everything about you, even the trivial stuff.”
“Oh, Colin, you don't have to-”
“No, no. You said there are lots of things I don't know about you. As your best friend, it's now my mission to prove to you that, barring one case of childhood claustrophobia, I'm an amazing best friend who knows everything about you.”
Penelope smiled at him. “You're not going to let this go, are you?”
“Obviously not.”
She shook her head, grinning fondly. “Alright, let's do it.”
Colin and Penelope get stuck in a lift, so they decide to test their friendship... and maybe even turn it into something more.
