“What do you mean?” Steve asked in confusion. His hands felt wet from the condensation of his bottle and he quickly wiped his hands on his jeans.
Robin was bouncing happily beside him, oblivious to his discomfort.“Oh, he wears a disguise like – you can't really see his face. But I feel like people are really into the whole doomy gloomy metal Phantom Of The Opera thing. They are not that big yet but he has about twenty thousand followers on his own Instagram. Horny girls in the comments included. It was a little crazy to be honest when I checked it a while ago. But I guess if they ever get super famous at least he'll have his privacy. It's actually kind of clever now that I think of it.”

'What the hell is Eddie Munson doing here?
Probably for the same reason Steve is.
"—how many times I've said that I will not be conforming to society's bullshit expectations of—oh." Eddie cuts himself off when he notices Steve sitting criss-cross by the pool.
He eyes Steve carefully before moving closer, head tilted and dark eyes narrowed. Eddie is apparently notorious for being hot-headed, a complete maniac, a freak. Steve isn't sure how any interaction between the two of them will go, what with them being complete polar opposites.
"What is a pretty boy like you doing out here all alone?" Eddie asks.
Steve finds himself flushing at the comment. Eddie is closer now, still looking at him intently, and Steve pulls his eyes away, staring at the water rippling underneath his palm.
"Party blows."'

Summary
There's a new restaurant across from Eddie's game store - and that is just his newest problem.
Hot cuisine or whatever it's called isn't something he thought he needed in his life. He's more of a greasy cheeseburgers, cigarettes and dry cereal kinda guy. All things considered, the hip new place with its fancy food and its thriving social media account should stand for everything he hates.
Except the owner is making it really hard - pun intended.
Because Steve isn't a superficial, capitalist asshole. He's a nice guy with beautiful hair and great hands and a quirky sense of humor and great hands and a fantastic ass, and did Eddie mention the hands? For some reason, he can't stop staring at them, which is very unfortunate - especially since Steve seems to have made it his mission to introduce him to a more varied diet, and Eddie is developing some extremely inappropriate feelings related to food and cooking here.
Between burst pipes, DnD campaigns, annoying influencers, and the shiny new mall project that is threatening their neighborhood, it's all a lot to deal with, but he guesses he'll just have to suck it up - pun, again, very much intended.

Eddie is a burnt-out-overworked-crash-and-burn-rockstar with a crippling twitter addiction. Steve is a chronically-offline-homegrown-indiana-boy-flowershop-owner with a green thumb and a penchant for taking in strays.
So naturally when Eddie first sees him, he's head over heels. And Steve has no clue what his day job is.

Because yes. The saffron does taste better. The saffron tastes so much better and the dish now makes Steve’s tastebuds soar and his eyes water and the only thing worse than admitting Eddie is correct right now, is admitting that that dish is miles fucking better since Eddie puts his hands on it.
And Steve finds himself wondering for a split fucking moment in between the rage he’s feeling, if everything is better with Eddie’s hands on it.
