Chilchuck has never enjoyed feeling small, and he is far from a child. He gulps down enough booze to knock out even the stoutest of dwarves, and he stands on the ball of his feet with near-perfect posture to at least stand above a tallman's belt buckle, and he makes himself loud and noticeable. He will not be looked over — He will not be treated like he is lesser.
But tonight, under the soft amber-glow of the waxen candle on his nightstand, it is not soft, frail hands that rest against his flushed skin, and the thrill that thrums in each pump of his veins has him feeling delicate in a way that he has never felt before — It's good. Exciting, even, when he knows that the give and take is equal.
