    How can Gotham City, thought to be the most dangerous place on Earth, happen to be the safest place Marinette could find herself. It's so strange, and yet, is the plain truth.
    How is she going to build a life for herself here? Why would she run from her home? In what world could she ever bring herself to leave?
    She doesn't know, so she prefers not to think about it. Rather, she just does her homework and thinks about all the blessings she has in her new life.
    Perhaps one day she can return to her City of Lights, but Marinette is more than familiar with a City of Crime.
    Now she has a home in both.

    Sometimes all it takes is one pinch of luck to change the course of peoples lives...

    Marinette Dupain-Cheng was finished with Paris. With parents who believed a liar over their own daughter, she packed up and moved to Gotham. Marinette Dupain-Cheng no longer existed. In her place was Marie Stone, owner of a local coffee shop, Pincée de Fortune. After her little café attracts quite a bit of attention and she accidentally gets (sort of) adopted by Selina Kyle and the other sirens, Marie finds herself once again moonlighting as some form of alter-ego -- this time on the streets (and rooftops) of Gotham. As luck would have it, her café also leads to the creation of a quickly forming friendship with Tim Drake. Over time, through shenanigans and a mutual love of coffee, their friendship could easily become something more. After all, Marie's always been lucky.

    But what if it was all a lie

    What if her name was actually Marinette...... al Ghul.

     

    Alternatively, Marinette runs away from the League at the ripe old age of 8, leaving her twin, Damian behind to wonder if his sister ever made it out alive or was buried 6 feet under.

    Then after Slade's attack, with his grandfather dead and the League in shambles, Damian finally has the opportunity to find out what happened to his sister.

    Meanwhile, newly named Guardian Marinette Dupain Cheng was busy pummeling Hawkmoth’s ass into the ground while simultaneously ghosting the Justice League.

     

    Alternatively, Batman has an aneurysm trying to figure out who the fuck Ladybug is and Damian has a mental breakdown trying to stop him.
