Summary
For a moment, the limited light and her white nightgown make her look like her dark world self; blonde hair pale and her entire silhouette seeming to glow against the graphite darkness.
She is leaning over the railing, looking off into the dark trees lining the borders of the Holiday residence, one hand folded over her mouth.
She looks so tired and frazzled. Guilt pangs within Kris again and again, like a pulse. Their fault.
—
After they get Berdly to the hospital, Kris, still without the SOUL in their chest, shuffles over to the Holiday Manor. They have someone to apologize to and make sure she stays far away from the version of them that can hurt her.
Kris's terrible awful no-good very bad night; set in Chapter 2 but written with the insight obtained in Chapter 4 of Kris appearing at Noelle's in an attempt to make things right, with more dialogue than the lines Noelle's recollection gives us.

Summary
This is not fair. It’s not fair, it’s not fair. Even if it’s with difficulty, they can somehow bear it if they’re caught in the crossfire of all this. But. Berdly. Noelle. They…
This shouldn’t have happened.
This never should’ve happened. Noelle shouldn’t have been forced to kill an entire city’s worth of Darkners. She shouldn’t have been forced to cast a spell that froze Berdly solid into a thick crystal of ice. Berdly shouldn’t be lying here lifelessly.
They can do something about at least one of these things. They need to get him to the hospital.
—
In the aftermath of Snowgrave, Kris rips out the SOUL lodged inside them and leaves through the window to try and fix at least some things. This includes shambling across the town to get Berdly, still-unconscious in the computer lab, somewhere safe.
Kris's terrible awful no-good very bad night; set in Chapter 2 but written with the insight obtained in Chapter 4 of Kris being the one to bring Berdly to the hospital.

Summary
The kid is not picking up the phone.
It would end up going silent every time. Not after a series of rings, though - it was some weird indiscernible noise he couldn’t parse through and that was frankly painful to listen to. Weird. Maybe a network error. Or something. Did monster phones even work up here?
(Yes, they did. Papyrus, upon hearing he had trouble calling someone, called Undyne to ask if she had a problem with her phone too, swiftly solving the whole thing before she even picked up when nothing but normal ringing could be heard. He then proceeded to talk her ear off for around two hours about how cool real race cars were in comparison to the bed ones.)
So, a dead end. He decided to go up the chain of command of kid-related issues.
—
Time passes from when the monsters were freed from the Underground. Life goes on. But no one can reach Frisk - they're nowhere to be found and their number emits a weird, garbage-like noise. A young human like that couldn't have gone very far, though, right?
A story inspired by the Strange Someone Frisk AU/Theory created by the-meme-monarch on tumblr (though knowledge of it is not necessary to read the fic and enjoy it).

Summary
Kris turns back to Susie. Their expression is as apathetic as ever and they remain silent for a long moment before narrowing their eyes into a piercing glare.
“I’m not your first priority anymore,” they say. “Why should you be mine?”
Susie stiffens like a board. Noelle can feel the fur on the back of her neck standing on end, burning with guilt even when she doesn’t know what she could have possibly done wrong.
Kris has been acting weird ever since Susie and Noelle started dating. Noelle finds something she wasn't supposed to.

Summary
“Seven years,” Susie growls. “Seven fucking years. No calls, no texts, no nothing. Have you been in Castaway this whole damn time!?”
“Yes,” Kris says without a beat. They cough, wrenching their control back from the SOUL. “I mean. No.”
“Two completely different answers, dude,” she continues. “Do you even know how much you messed up your parents? How much you messed up Noelle?”
Seven years ago, Kris fled Hometown when the entity controlling their SOUL disappeared, leaving them with the consequences of its actions. Now, in the grimy, middle-of-nowhere town of Castaway, Kris must deal with its sudden return. The SOUL threatens the balance they've found in their new life, and may even threaten the lives of their old friends, too.

Summary
Dess offers Kris some cool monster candy called Star Rocks. They taste pretty good at first, but... Well, Kris is a human, as much as they don't like thinking about that.
And that means they can't always handle monster food.
