He kicked the side of the bed hard, then harder. Kevin didn't move. Something Andrew refused to recognise as panic spread through his chest. He shook Kevin's shoulder. Kevin was warm, and Andrew could see him breathing, but he could still not get a response.
"I'm quitting Exy," he declared loudly. Surely Kevin Day would be roused by such a threat.
There was no response.
Andrew's panic threatened to choke him. He stormed out to get Neil. Neil, also unsuccessful at waking Kevin, sent Dan to get Abby.
Something like half an hour later, all the Foxes and Wymack crowded outside the dorm rooms.
Abby emerged and said, "The good news is he isn't sick. The bad news is… he's cursed."

Summary
