You suppose his concerns do have a real concern behind them. Reese has always had a sharpness to him, but the long nails and sharp cheekbones of yesterday are a far cry from the toothiness and talons of now. You can understand why he would be so nervous. Not only is it his first time being intimate with someone like this, but he’s doing so in a body that’s so new to him. You ponder all of this, and an idea strikes you. Perhaps less an idea, and more an instinct.
“Would it help if I guided you? If I told you what to do and you had to follow my instructions? That way you can be sure you aren’t doing anything I don’t want you to do.”
Reese mulls over this. Something in his face softens, muscles untensing, and he breathes out, “yeah, yeah it would.”

Despite everything, despite his anger, despite the dead girl, despite the stab wound through his hand, and despite the trust that should be well and truly fucking broken. We don’t need money, Gi-hun was trying to tell him through his offering, if you take my hand, we can make a future. Because despite everything, that was just who Gi-hun was at his core.
