Gale makes as compelling a narrative foil to Durge as Astarion does; but because he, unlike Astarion, was not written by the same writer as Durge, there is less explicit exploration of Durge/Gale narrative parallels. Thus, this longfic was born.
Alternating POV between Resist!Durge and Resist!Gale. Romantasy novelization of game events, canon rewrite, exploration of scrapped concepts from early access and development.
